AFFIXES
The word stem ven- or vene (meaning "to come") occurs in many words. Add an affix (either a prefix or a suffix) to this stem to make another word. Each participant should add a different word to the list.
Hongxing, a ventilator is something that provides fresh air. Maybe you thought the word has something to do with fresh air coming. But it actually has a different origin, ventilātus, Latin for "fan".
IIdiko, I'm not sure how venerate would be related. It actually comes from the Latin word venerārī, which has the same meaning.
